Main Performer: Sudo Choir
Founded in 2024, Sudo Choir is a dynamic mixed-voice Chinese choir in the San Francisco Bay Area. United by strong musical foundations and a passion for choral singing, members come from diverse professional backgrounds. In its first year, the choir has already performed classical, folk, contemporary, and pop works in multiple languages, presenting concerts and joining Stanford Memorial Church’s Summer Music Series.
The choir is led by Freya Zheng, who holds a Master’s in Choral Conducting from the Royal Danish Academy of Music. She has collaborated with choirs in Copenhagen, Beijing, and Nanjing, and currently also directs the Ensemble Continuo Children’s Choir while actively engaging in music education across age groups.
Sudo Choir is a proud member of the Chinese Music & Cultural Association (CMCA), a Bay Area nonprofit fostering a vibrant Chinese music community and cross-cultural exchange.
